Apr-08-2013 Hello Breeders, Birds are comming in, but it's not too late to get in. The races will be harder this season, with less birds on the drop than in the previous 2 seasons, due to the race schedual, and the birds won't be on the dark system. The prize money is based on a progresive points system,so the most truly consistent birds will win the most prize money, and allows a bigger payoff to you the breeder. As always the birds will receive the best of care and training and commitment to you. Thank you Dale Golla
Mar-21-2013 Hello Breeders, Just a note to say the race is still on in spite of the AU troubles. My races are all above board and I have no reason or desire to let a left wing faction, that has no concept of real life, prevent myself or others to engage in the sport that gives pourpose, fellow ship, a feeling of self accomplishment and pride, that only comes from the passion, commitment and care we give to our pigeons. Yours in the sport, DALE GOLLA
Feb-25-2013 Hello Breeders, Thanks for checking us out. Due to popular demand, and limited space I must place a 12 bird limit on birds per loft entered. This limit allows a more level playing feild for everyone, and allows more breeder particiapation and compition. If as a breeder your goal is to prove your birds worth,in a true fashion and test this is the race to enter.Space is limited so enter today. You and your birds will recive the best of care and attention Thank you Dale Golla
Feb-14-2013 Hello Breeders, Spring isn't so far off now,and perches are being reserved, way up from last year at this time. In the past 2 years I had serval birds on the drop in each race. This year I changed the schedule, with the 1st 3 races back to back, then 2 weeks after will be the final 350m race. Also the birds won't be on the darkening system. By doing so Iam convinced the birds will break up much more, and create a better test of your birds. The birds will still recive the best of care and training through out the season. This is a good race to be in, reserve your perches today. Yours in the sport Dale Golla
Jan-05-2013 Recently a reputable flyer emailed me stating he Only enters OLS that use Avg Speed, and not Pts. This was my reply to him: Thanks again for your explanation and reasoning. You have my respect as a serious and thoughtful flyer. I wish to add some food for thought. Total time, total distance, best shows us the performance of a bird in each individual race. This automatically allows one bird to gain yardage over another in that particular race, due to accountability of time between birds, and this is our goal, in order to win that One Race. Ideally if there is a 4-Race Series from the same distance along with the inevitable changing weather, I agree completely: Avg speed would be the solution & the results would be undisputable. My concern arises with a 4-Race series from 4 different distances, weather considered that Avg speed opens a door to allow a small group, or a single bird to gain an advantage from only one of the 4 races, to the effect that after the Yds are totaled a more consistent bird in all of the 4 races cannot make up the yardage spread using Avg speed. I am not in the belief that the former birds are better because of that One Race. This is why I believe an Upgraded Pts System is best used for OLR’s. Therefore, although the Pts system I’ve adopted (see on website) may not accurately show a birds performance on any one of the races, due to time difference between birds (the race sheet shows that). In an overall perspective, my Pts system used even with birds on the drop, or singly will show the most consistent birds from all the races and these birds, will accumulate the most points without a possible handicap from one race that can lead to a topic of getting lucky or leave a bad taste in someone’s mouth. Well, this is my view and my reasoning. I am open for your feedback. Yours in the sport, Dale Golla
